The Jefferson City West Rotary's Trivia Award, up for grabs among 20 teams. Ashley Pederson and Mark Naeger work the Trivia Night registration table for the Jefferson City West Rotary Club. More than 170 attended. Trivia buffs enjoy the buffet line. And yes, there was plenty of deserts -- and beer, thanks to Fechtel Beverage. Trivia Night patrons enjoy a good meal catered by Hy-Vee. Marilyn DeFeo, executive director of the Samaritan Center, thank all the attendees and the host Jefferson City West Rotary Club for helping support the agency. They also had a team competing for the trivia award.
Linda Nichols, president-elect for the Jefferson City West Rotary Club, showcases one of many door prizes offered at Trivia Night. Carla McDaniel, a member of the Derby Divas Team #2, checks her calculations during the competition. Mark Naeger, Debbie Prost and Rob Murphy busily keep score after each Trivia round. The results were shown on a screen for all team members to keep track on how they were doing. Some team members had to get a closer look to make sure their team score was correctly posted -- and to see how far they needed to improve with their trivia answers. Janice and Steve Houser, president of the JC West Rotary Club, seem to be pleased with how the evening is going. Their team was sponsored by Hawthorn Bank.
